What is a skinchanger in CS2

A skinchanger is a server-side plugin that changes how a player's weapons look on a specific server. You pick the skin, wear, pattern, StatTrak and stickers from a menu, and they instantly appear in your hands. Nothing to download or install: everything runs on the server, so it is not a cheat and does not affect your account.

How to get skins on a server

Pick a server from the list and click "Connect". Type a skinchanger command in chat, for example !ws, then choose a weapon and a skin from the menu — it will appear after you respawn or switch weapons.

Most servers use the same commands. The exact list is usually shown in the server name or the welcome message.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes. On skinchanger servers skins, knives and gloves are free to choose — no need to buy them on Steam.

Can my account get banned for using a skinchanger?

No. The server itself changes the skins and you install nothing on your PC, so VAC is not involved.

Will the skins stay in my inventory?

No. The skins only work on that server or the project's server network and never appear in your Steam inventory.
